Practical flag service guide

Active — current ANAM portal services published; technical and credential routes require direct confirmation

Comoros Maritime Services

ANAM publishes first-time pleasure and commercial vessel registration, registry transcripts, and vessel/seafarer document validation. Additional registry-source procedures describe ordinary, special, bareboat, and under-construction routes, but current acceptance and detailed checklists require authority confirmation.

Operational information reviewed: 2026-09-13

One country, one working guide

Routes, requirements, timing and expected documents.

How to use this page

ANAM is the Government of the Union of Comoros maritime authority and publishes the clearest current routes. Pharaohs Marine reviews the working route, prepares the file, coordinates submission and tracks delivery. For class and statutory work, direct survey and certification from our office is available only when our surveyor appointment and the appointing organization’s current Comoros authority are confirmed; otherwise we coordinate with an owner-selected authorized society. For supported officer-recognition files, we submit through the applicable Comoros route. ANAM or the named registry, society, RO or RSO remains the issuer.

Ship Registration

ANAM publishes first-time pleasure-vessel and commercial-vessel applications plus a digital transcript service. A formally authorized registry-source page also describes ordinary provisional/permanent, special, bareboat, and under-construction routes. Mortgage, fishing-vessel, and refrigerator-vessel details are not independently published by ANAM; confirm route availability, documents, and issuer before filing.

Classification / RO list status 19 named organizations
Source date, scope and limitations

Undated/older named list verified (not a dated current list): the registry-linked FlagAdmin page names exactly 19 Comoros-recognized classification societies and states generally that statutory-certification services are delegated to worldwide-recognized classification societies in the IACS/TSCI framework. The page is a named classification-society list, not a separate organization-by-organization RO authorization matrix; it publishes no dated authorization, convention/certificate scope matrix, or separate ISPS/RSO authorization. The IACS/TSCI wording is retained as source context and does not add unnamed organizations. Classification authority is recorded as supported by the page, while any individual statutory/RO scope remains unitemized and current validity is not guaranteed.
