Certificates of Competency under Liberia:
New certificate of competency (License) under Liberia can be obtained after passing exam by Liberian approved nautical inspector or auditor
Requirements for Liberian certificate of Competency:
- State the reason why the applicant cannot obtain a national license.
- Submit a copy of the letter from the employer stating that applicant will be employed on a Liberian flagged vessel.
- Copy of company letter;
- Physical completed within one year of when the application is submitted;
- Copy of passport;
- List of Sea Service;
- 2 passport-sized photos
- Copies of all STCW courses
Endorsements under Liberia:
Requirements for officers endorsements under Liberia:
- Application for Officer’s Certificate of Competency
- 2 Pictures (1.75” x 1.75”);
- Current physical within the last 12 months;
- Copy of national passport;
- Copy of your STCW 1978, as amended national certificate;
- Copy of all Sea service acquired within the last 5 years.
