Nairobi International Convention on the Removal of Wrecks

It is an evidence issued by flag state that the vessel insurance cover for the costs of the removal of the wreck in case in sinking

as per the convention, it is not a must to the get this certificate by the flag state of the ship, but any member state of the convention can issue it for any ship

Requirements for wreck removal certificate are:

• copy of the registry certificate
• Copy of the P&I policy showing cover for wreck removal
